Newmarket

2.20 The Wood Ditton is always going to involve a high degree of guesswork but I have heard some good reports about Saskatchewan.

2.55 Greatwood is highly rated by connections who feel he could be a group horse in the making. Havana Beat won a Sandown maiden and looks the type to stay well. Ghurair is a dual course winner and has the best form on show.

Ghurair is the likely winner but his price is a skinny one. At the odds I am going to take a chance with Havana Beat.

3.30 The in form Move in Time is the selection with an each way saver on Tickled Pink.

4.05 Tornado looks the one to be on here. His trainer has an impressive record in the race.

5.45 Mystery Bet and Soviet Rock are respected but Hillstar is the selection.

Ripon

3.55 Kempton winner Country Western could be ahead of the handicapper.
