Doncaster

5.30 Tetbury comes here on the back of a win at Ripon and may have scope for further improvement off his current mark.

6.40 Speedy Approach is well thought of by his connections and this looks a winning opportunity.

8.15 Time and Place would have a good chance here based on his win at Yarmouth in April.

Lingfield

5.45 Banadeer was runner up on his debut at Leicester and can go one better here.

8.30 Snoqualmie Chief has an each way chance.

Newcastle

2.05 Jack Dexter’s 4th in a Group 1 at Ascot puts him in with a really solid chance.

3.50 Gatepost is dropping down the handicap and has an each way chance.

Newmarket

4.05 The consistent and lightly raced Nabucco goes well at Newmarket and looks the one to beat.

Windsor

5.10 Jubilant Queen won nicely at Nottingham last time and can follow up.

Ascot

3.05 Sir John Hawkwood steps up in class after landing a couple of handicaps. He is progressive and versatile as regards ground. He looks a fair price.

4.25 Duke of Firenze has done well for us thus far and I will stay with him.

5.00 Rye House and Caravan Rolls On are my two against the field.

Ayr

3.35 Country Western

Haydock

8.50 Astifzaaz

Newmarket

2.50 Veeraya

Ascot

2.30 Kiyoshi has been aimed at this race since winning impressively at Goodwood.

3.05 Epsom Derby 4th Battle of Marengo sets the standard but he is odds on and I inclined to take him on. Mutashaded, Contributer and Hillstar all have claims but I am going to take a chance with Greatwood.

5.00 Mister Impatience was second to Ruler of the World in the Chester Vase and looks a reasonable shout at 10/1.

5.35 Enrol was only beaten a nose at Newmarket last time and this step from 6F to 7F might suit.

Goodwood

7.55 Red Orator

8.55 Jubilant Queen

Newmarket

6.25 Aficionado

Redcar

2.55 Dance King

Ascot

2.30 Ambience is an improving sort and looks over priced at 20/1.

3.05 Oaks 3rd The Lark looks sure to go well.

3.45 Estimate handles the trick and looks a worthy favourite. Last season’s Doncaster Cup winner Times Up has an each way chance.

4.25 Cape Peron was most impressive when winning at Doncaster in May and looks ideal for this. Wentworth was probably an unlucky loser at Goodwood on his last start having won at York and Newbury as a juvenile. Another contender that comes into this contest in good form is Haydock winner So Beloved. Tarikhi is lightly raced. He won a Newmarket maiden last season but suffered steering problems on his seasonal reappearance and may be worth another chance. Homage has shown plenty of promise this season winning at Haydock before running a creditable second at Sandown. You Da One is very consistent and has not been out of the first 3 in his last 7 starts.

Of these Wentworth, So Beloved, Cape Peron and Homage make most appeal.

5.00 Elkaayed is on a hat trick and certainly seems to be going the right way.

5.35 Soviet Rock comes here on the back of two wins over this trip at Newmarket. Shrewd won 3 of his 5 starts at a juvenile and tackles this trip, which should suit him, for the first time.

Leicester

8.05 Banadeer

8.35 Shababeek

Lingfield

7.50 Inherited

Warwick

3.30 Blessing Box

4.10 Sunset Shore

Ascot

2.30 A big field and a difficult puzzle to solve. Garswood won the Free Handicap back in April which puts him in with a chance. The other one I like is Montiridge who has a progressive profile and seems to handle any ground.

5.35 Auction comes here looking for a 4 timer. She has risen in the weights but is progressive and cannot be ruled out. The Gold Cheongsam has some decent form over shorter trips and is another that could go well at a big price. Go Angellica won twice as a 2 year old but has been largely disappointing since. A return to her best form would put her in with a chance. I would split my stake between this trio.

Kempton

7.10 Autun

8.10 Utterance

9.10 Agerzam

Ripon

9.20 Tetbury
