Haydock

5.25. I am hoping that Chancery can make his experience count in this maiden.

7.30 The in form Hi There can follow up his Musselburgh win under a penalty.

Leicester

3.55 This can go to the lightly raced Aljamaaher who has run well in better company.

Sandown

4.25 Dashing Star may be ahead of the handicapper and is the selection despite the trip perhaps on the short side.

Beverley

3.35 The 4 times winner Maybeagrey should be fitter for her recent run at Newcastle. Upped in trip she looks value at around 12/1.

Newcastle

6.20 Dick Bos ran poorly last time out but is worth another chance here.

I will stick with the flat racing with tonight’s preview as the new season has started well for us.

Newbury

1.15 Royal Dutch is quite lightly raced for a 4 year old and there could be further improvement to come from him.

3.30 Moohaajim is my fancy in this race but rain could be a problem.

4.05 Cape Peron shaped well on his debut over 6 furlongs and this longer trip should suit.

4.40 Squire Osbaldeston was 3rd in a strong Newmarket maiden on his only run last season.

Newbury

2.30 Cap O’Rushes and Contributer should both have more to offer this season. It is hard to choose between the pair but I would give a slight edge to Cap O’Rushes.

3.05 So Beloved strikes me as the type to do well at 3 – let’s hope so.

Bath

5.15 Heeraat has plenty of speed as he showed when winning twice at York last season. Ground, track and trip should all suit him here.

5.30 I think there is a race to be won with Shore Step. He may need decent ground but has an each way chance here.

6.30 Potential improver Swan Song looks value at 10/1.

Newmarket

2.20 The Wood Ditton is always going to involve a high degree of guesswork but I have heard some good reports about Saskatchewan.

2.55 Greatwood is highly rated by connections who feel he could be a group horse in the making. Havana Beat won a Sandown maiden and looks the type to stay well. Ghurair is a dual course winner and has the best form on show.

Ghurair is the likely winner but his price is a skinny one. At the odds I am going to take a chance with Havana Beat.

3.30 The in form Move in Time is the selection with an each way saver on Tickled Pink.

4.05 Tornado looks the one to be on here. His trainer has an impressive record in the race.

5.45 Mystery Bet and Soviet Rock are respected but Hillstar is the selection.

Ripon

3.55 Kempton winner Country Western could be ahead of the handicapper.
