Cheltenham Day 2

Cheltenham

1.30 Yorkhill looks the one to beat here. He will start favorite. A Toi Phil and o o Seven are worth considering at bigger prices.

2.10 No More Heroes is narrowly preferred to More of that.

2.50 I have a short list of Rock the Kasbah, Arbre de Vie, Diamond King and Long House Hall.

3.30 Un de Sceaux is the selection with Sprinter Sacre next best.

4.10 Balthazar King should go well.

4.50 This is a tough one to call as there are plenty of runners that could be well handicapped. Duke Street, Jaleo, Diego du Charmil, Kasakh Noir and Missy Tata are my shortlist.

5.30 Augusta Kate

Cheltenham Day 1

Cheltenham

1.30 Min has been something of a gamble leading up to this race and he represents a stable with a fine record in the event. At the odds however I am not convinced that he represents value.

Buveur D’Air has won both his starts over hurdles. He is a bit hard to assess but I inclined to take a chance with him. Petit Mouchoir is one that could go well at a big price. He had good bumper form last season and the ground should suit him. Others to consider are Tombstone and Altior but my two against the field are Buveur D’Air and Petit Mouchoir.

2.10 It is impossible to oppose Douvan.

2.50 Carole’s Destrier won the London National at Sandown last time. He stays well, has never fallen over fences and will go on the ground. The Young Master is a course winner and will be suited by the drying ground. Kruzhlinin comes into the race on the back of a win and looks to have a sound chance for Philip Hobbs. Out Sam lacks experience but his handicap could be lenient.

My 3 against the field are Carole’s Destrier, Kruzhlinin and The Young Master.

3.30 I am going for a Willie Mullins clean sweep. 1. Nichols Canyon; 2. Annie Power; 3. Sempre Medici.

4.10 Vroum Vroum Mag can give the Mullins yard another winner here. Bitofapuzzle would be my next best.

4.50 My three against the field are Noble Endeavor, Southfield Royale and Ballychorus.

5.30 I will put up two selections here. Aloomomo and Javert.
