Chester

2.40 Rayvin Black put in a promising run at York last time on his handicap debut and may well be the answer here. Arley Hall is capable of better than he has shown this season and could be the danger.

3.10 The well bred Sun Central was third on his seasonal reappearance and should be fitter this time.

3.45 Looking for value here I would suggest a split stake between Decision by One and Zakreet.

Doncaster

6.05 The best of those that have run looks to be Bornean.

7.15 O’Gorman ran well last time out and has been dropped a couple of pounds by the assessor. He has an each way chance.

7.45 I thought about Beyond Conceit for this but he could be ground dependent

Lingfield

8.30 Autarch can follow up his win at Brighton.

Newcastle

3.20 Gulf of Naples

4.55 Party Line

Newmarket

3.35 Hoof It

4.05 Estifzaaz

5.15 Tawaasul

5.35 AlJabreiah

Chester

8.25 Clon Brulee is one to consider after winning on his handicap debut at Haydock. He has been raised 6 lbs for that success but is lightly raced and may have scope for further improvement. Third Half looks the danger. His only win thus far came on the all weather at Wolverhampton last season but his overall form this team warrants respect.

Doncaster

3.35 Jake’s Destiny and Chil the Kite are my main fancies here.

4.10 It might be worth taking a chance on Jonny Delta. Kieren Fallon has the ride on him for the first time.

4.45 Shada ran well on her only start as a juvenile last season.

Folkestone

5.40 Watheeq

Newmarket

8.40 Main Line

Royal Ascot

3.05 Sea Moon is the form pick and should appreciate the ground. Aiken is a big danger. He has won his last six, is a course and distance winner, handles the ground well and comes from a stable bang in form.

3.45 The one most likely to upset the dead cert here is probably recent Longchamp winner Moonlight Cloud.

4.25 An ultra competitive sprint with loads of contenders. Desert Law is in good from as demonstrated by his second in the Epsom Dash over 5 furlongs. He has won twice over tomorrow’s trip but ideally wants fast ground. Waffle ran well at York last time but to say he has a poor strike rate would certainly be an understatement. Mac’s Power ran well in this race last season from an unfavourable draw, On his last outing he was 3rd at Newbury and he looks on a fair mark. With the help of K Fallon in the saddle he should go well. A fast pace over 6 furlongs should be ideal for Alben Star although he wouldn’t want the ground too soft. High Standing is a course and distance winner, has won on soft ground and is not badly handicapped on his best form.

In these big field sprints it makes sense to back one drawn high and one drawn low. Mac’s Power and High Standing will do for me.

5.35 Swingkeel and the evergreen Overturn are my two against the field.

Ayr selections

2.25 Vocational (ew)

3.30 Gordonsville

Newmarket

2.05 This looks quite an open race. Cravat and Periphery have chances but my two against the field would be Amadeus Wolfe Tone and Johnno.

3.40 O’Gorman has dropped a couple of pounds since his last run and should be thereabouts but I prefer Tioman Pearl who is lightly raced and could still be progressing.

4.15 Makafeh is the subject of encouraging reports.

4.50 Keeping Time is another well regarded type ahead of his debut.

Redcar

3.55 Jwala is related to plenty of winners and could be on a handy mark.

Royal Ascot

2.30 Newfangled looks a worthy favourite on the evidence of his win at Newmarket. The Gold Cheongsam could be the each way value as she ran well at Goodwood in a race against the colts.

3.05 Astrology. 3rd the The Derby is the obvious form pick. The Henry Cecil pair of Noble Mission and Thomas Chippendale have chances as do the John Gosden duo of Shantaram and Thought Worthy.

Astrology is a short price and I am inclined to take him on with Frankel’s brother Noble Mission.

3.45 I fancy Irish Guineas winner Samitar for this. The once raced Cardigan is an interesting runner at a bigger price.

4.25 Qaraba has already won twice this season and should go well. He is the selection with Gatewood and Danadana respected.

5.00 Perennial looks value at around 7/1.

5.35 Emilio Largo looks to be going the right way.

Ayr selections

7.45 Ted’s Brother

Goodwood selections

7.55 Tmaam

8.25 Free Verse

Newmarket selections

6.25 Aleksandar (Third Half and Gallipot are others to consider)

7.30 Gold Sceptre

8.40 Gospel Choir

Royal Ascot

2.30 The speedy Annunciation looks each way value. Mick Channon’s course and distance winner Cay Verde is very much respected.

3.05 I will stick with the Oaks form here with The Fugue taken to get the better of Vow.

3.45 This is a class field but Fame and Glory deserves favouritism and will be hard to beat. Sadler’s Rock represents the each way value while Colour Vision could also be a threat to the favourite.

4.25 A difficult handicap where I am hoping that Trader Jack will give a god account of himself after a promising run at Goodwood. Lucky Henry who was runner up in a good race at Haydock is another to consider.

5.00 Starboard and Wrotham Heath make most appeal.

5.35 Fennell Bay is tough and consistent and has an each way chance.

Ripon selections

3.20 Gassin Golf

Selections for Wednesday

Royal Ascot

2.30 The unbeaten Valbchek is one to consider. He may well have scope for further improvement. Aljamaaheer who won a listed race last time out is the other on my short list. He probably wouldn’t want the ground soft though.

3.05 Nahrain and Joviality are possible in an open looking heat.

3.45 So You Think was runner up last year and can go one better this time.

4.25 Belgian Bill was 4th in the Britannia Stakes which looks god form.

5.00 The Mick Channon trained Graphic Guest is a course and distance winner and looks to have a good chance.

Hamilton

4.10 Border Revia

Kempton

7.10 Counsel

9.10 Solfilia
