Royal Ascot
3.05 Sea Moon is the form pick and should appreciate the ground. Aiken is a big danger. He has won his last six, is a course and distance winner, handles the ground well and comes from a stable bang in form.
3.45 The one most likely to upset the dead cert here is probably recent Longchamp winner Moonlight Cloud.
4.25 An ultra competitive sprint with loads of contenders. Desert Law is in good from as demonstrated by his second in the Epsom Dash over 5 furlongs. He has won twice over tomorrow’s trip but ideally wants fast ground. Waffle ran well at York last time but to say he has a poor strike rate would certainly be an understatement. Mac’s Power ran well in this race last season from an unfavourable draw, On his last outing he was 3rd at Newbury and he looks on a fair mark. With the help of K Fallon in the saddle he should go well. A fast pace over 6 furlongs should be ideal for Alben Star although he wouldn’t want the ground too soft. High Standing is a course and distance winner, has won on soft ground and is not badly handicapped on his best form.
In these big field sprints it makes sense to back one drawn high and one drawn low. Mac’s Power and High Standing will do for me.
5.35 Swingkeel and the evergreen Overturn are my two against the field.
Ayr selections
2.25 Vocational (ew)
3.30 Gordonsville
Newmarket
2.05 This looks quite an open race. Cravat and Periphery have chances but my two against the field would be Amadeus Wolfe Tone and Johnno.
3.40 O’Gorman has dropped a couple of pounds since his last run and should be thereabouts but I prefer Tioman Pearl who is lightly raced and could still be progressing.
4.15 Makafeh is the subject of encouraging reports.
4.50 Keeping Time is another well regarded type ahead of his debut.

3.55 Jwala is related to plenty of winners and could be on a handy mark.
