2.25 Bornean is well bred and is said to be forward.
Epsom
1.40 Lay Time was progressive last season and is regarded as one of Andrew Balding’s best prospects for the season. The extended mile looks an ideal trip.
2.15 Gatewood won well at York in the manner of a horse that can continue to improve.
4.05 Aiden O’Brien has 6 runners in the Oaks but the English challenge looks stronger. Vow won the Lingfield trial despite running about at the finish. Like Vow Kailiani is two from two. Most recently she took the Pretty Polly stakes at Newmarket earlier this month. On pedigree she looks sure to stay. The Fugue is not unbeaten having won 2 from 3 but her defeat came when 4th in te 1,000 Guineas where she was running on at the finish. She has since won the Musidora in good style although that could have been a weak renewal of the race. Of the trio I slightly favour The Fugue.
4.50 Fallen for You was below par at Lingfield on her last start but is worth another chance here.
Haydock
8.30 This doesn’t look the strongest of contests and Tawaasul looks to have the best form in the book.
Newcastle
4.25 Chatterati ran miserably last time but if that run is ignored he stands a chance.
5.00 Teacher wears first time blinkers. If the blinds have the desired effect this one would have a chance.
