I had John Dunlop’s Munsarim down as a horse to follow this season and he duly won his maiden in July at Haydock. On the debit side he won by 11 lengths eased down and as a result got no favours from the handicapper. He has gone down a bit in the weights since then and tomorrow he will have top apprentice Martin Lane on board to take off a valuable 3 lbs in the 3.40 at Ffos Las. He will be running over the trip and on the same going as his maiden win and at 12/1 looks to have an each way chance. Another horse that has slipped to a winnable mark in this race is The Cayterers, a winner of 10 races in his career, 5 of them when ridden by tomorrow’s jockey. At 25/1 he is another interesting outsider.
At Kempton Gay Mirage looks the one to be on in the 8.50. My only selection at Worcester is Spot the Ball in the 4.20 although the form of the stable is a slight concern.
