In a season when Paul Nicholls has once again dominated the jumps scene Woolcombe Folly is one of his string that has not lived up to expectations. He looks to have been found a winning opportunity in the 1.50 at Newton Abbot but it doesn’t seem worth playing at odds on for a horse that has finished runner up on his last 3 outings (and a beaten favourite in 2 of them).
There is a good card over in Ireland at The Curragh where Aiden O’Brien introduces Queen of the Night, a half brother to Falbrav in the maiden at 2.45.
US Ranger has won 5 of his 8 career starts and looks the one to beat in the 4.15. He has won on heavy ground so the going should not be a problem.
At Longchamp all eyes will be on the unbeaten Zarkava in the 2.45. She looks a potential superstar.
Bye for now
