Some winners give you more pleasure than others. Roznic was one that I got a particular “buzz from today. He is one of the “darker” horses on my list to follow, from one of the less fashionable yards. He did the job well at Kempton this afternoon with his jockey Barry Fenton judging his effort to perfection. Roznic’s previous wins had all come with cut in the ground and today he handled the faster surface well.
I see that Stoop to Conquer won over hurdles today. He is a horse I have always liked and was a fair stayer on the flat for John Dunlop. There should be more races to be won with him under both disciplines.
The new flat season is almost upon us so I need to take some notice of the results on the level. I see that Mount Hermon won today on the AW. He looked promising as a juvenile and looks one to follow.
My main focus tomorrow will be on Elite Racing Club runner Inherent in the 4.30 at Towceester. She won a bumper when trained by Clive Cox and was 2nd on her hurdles debut for new trainer Henry Daly.
See you tomorrow
