The highlight today has to be Quito’s win at Haydock, the 20th of his career. He has been a super horse and is as god as ever at the age of 9. It has been suggested that Haydock name a race after him.
There is flat racing at Sandown and York tomorrow.
The Sandown card opens with a 5 furlong maiden where Oldjoesaid and Castano have the best form on show.
Our list to follow is represented by Scotch Pancake in the 4.15. She was 2nd of 17 only beaten a short head on her only start last season. I am hopeful as long as she can overcome an absence of nearly a year.
York stages the Flying Childers Group 2 at 2.05 where Hoh Mike and Bahama Mama would be my 2 against the field.
Allegretto hasn’t done too much wrong this season and the step up in trip in the 2.40 should suit her. I have a particularly poor record when following horses from this stable so fingers crossed.
Tungsten Strike has already won or us this season and has put in a few other decent efforts. Should again give a good account in the 3.15.
