Aintree

3.15 Scots Gaelic looks well handicapped.

3.50 Dundee and Royal Regatta are the two I like in this. Dundee will be winning sooner rather than later but on this occasion I prefer Royal Regatta who is very well regarded by his trainer.

Wincanton

2.20 Midnight Oscar looks good value in this.

3.30 This looks a good opportunity for Vicente.

4.35 Umberto D’Olivate and Bold Cuffs are my two against the field.

Aintree

1.55 This is a competitive race to start of the Aintree card. Karinga Dancer represents Harry Fry. This one is a chaser in the making and is probably best over a bit further but he has speed for this trip and is a contender. One slight concern may be that he is yet to win at a left handed track. Ifandbutwhynot has won 3 times over hurdles but is another whose future will be over fences. Special Catch is another embryo chaser but he has some good form over hurdles. He has gone well fresh before and with showers forecast this soft ground horse just gets the vote.

3.05 Saint Are is well handicapped and has a very good record at Aintree. He is my selection although he would not want the ground any worse that good to soft.

5.20 Regal Encore was runner up in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March and loosk a top prospect for hurdles.

Chepstow

1.50 Doing Fine, a points winner, was second in a Fontwell bumper on his initial run for Rebecca Curtis. He looks to have a future over timber.

2.25 Just a Par has the potential to be a star and should win this.

3.00 Ballinvarrig ran well enough at Uttoxeter last month to suggest he is up to winning a race like this.

Stratford

5.05 Doctor Harper

Fakenham

2.20 The Nicholls and Henderson runners will no doubt attract plenty of support but this may push out the price of Le Reve. This 5 year old trained by Lucy Wadham looks sure to do well over fences and could pull off a surprise here.

Carlisle

2.20 Eduard and Pendra look a couple of good prospects in the novice chase division. There isn’t much between them on known form but I would give Pendra a slight edge based of the form of the trainer.

3.25 The Friary stays well, is consistent and should be fitter for his recent run at Hexham.

Ludlow selections

2.40 Lone Ranger

Cork

4.30 Sizing Rio

Kempton

2.15 Duroble Man

4.25 The big race of the day and the clash between Rock on Ruby and The New One. Not much in it on form and not really a race to bet on.  The New One might just have the edge this time.

Cheltenham

2.00 Although the ground may be a slight concern Creepy looks to have more potential than some of his rivals. The trip should hold no fears and he has shown form at the track.

2.35 Easter Meteor and Vulcanite come from in form stables and both act on good ground. It is very tempting to go for Easter Meteor who was second in this race last season. He has however gone up a fair bit in the weights since then which just tips the scales in favour of Vulcanite who is the mount of AP McCoy.

5.00 Recent Chepstow winner Balder Success drops back to 2 miles here which should suit him.

5.30 There are some nice types in this race which should be informative. Regal diamond won well at Aintree and will do for me.

Kelso

1.35 Plan Again has shown from in point to points and when winning his bumper. He looks the one top beat.

2.10 Full Jack has form in France and plenty of experience. He is one to consider as is Green Flag who is very well regarded by trainer Lucinda Russell. My marginal preference is for Imperial Vic who has won 4 out of 6 when partnered by Danny Cook.

4.35 Mysteree is the selection.
