After a miserable losing run we are getting among the winners again.

Haydock

7.50 Amadeus Wolfe Tone, a half brother to Census and Strada Facendo should both strip fitter after having had a run this season and are the pair that make most appeal at the odds.

8.20 A beaten favourite last time Farang Kondiew is worth another chance. He is an imposing sort and could be the type to improve as the season progresses. Border Revia, a winner at Ripon last season is lightly raced and would be my next best.

9.20 Sea Fever won well at Leicester recently and can follow up under a penalty.

Newbury

3.255 Great Heavens won at Yarmouth on heavy ground last month and should again have conditions in her favour.

4.10 York Glory hinted at a return to form at Epsom last time.

Hamilton

8.50 Third Half, a winner at Wolverhampton last season might be suited by the trip.

Haydock

2.20 Gassin Golf won over a mile at Kempton last season and this big step up in distance should bring out further improvement.

3.20 Cardinal Walter showed plenty of promise when 3rd at Newmarket last month.

3.50 Tmaam ran well in all his 4 races last season and if he can carry on where he left off this time around he should go very well.

Kempton

7.40 Moidore and Willie Wag Tail are my two against the field.

Chester

2.35 There are a few old favourites in this but I am inclined to side with Pintura. He has plenty going for him in that he is a course and distance winner, has a plum draw and acts with cut in the ground.

Doncaster

4.20 A tricky little 4 runner race with Starboard and Expense Claim the two most likely to be fighting out the finish. Expense Claim has been a rapid improver this season and just gets the nod.

Final-Adjustments

Newmarket

2.20 Chil the Kite showed plenty of promise last season and looks one to follow.

2.55 Recent Ripon winner Pearl Ice looks the one top beat here and is preferred to Es Que Love

4.00 High Jinx and Spifer are my 2 against the field.

Catterick

2.35 Gordonsville is dropped in class.

Doncaster

6.40 Smooth Handle is related to multiple winners.

9.20 Arley Hall looks quite well in at the weights.

Goodwood

8.00 Party Line and Man of Plenty look the most promising pair. Party Line has good recent form and seems versatile as regards to ground.

8.30 Vocational ran well in the big Epsom sprint on Saturday and shaped as though this trip would suit better. Free Verse may have found a mile too far at Ascot and this trip looks ideal.

Newmarket

4.30 The consistent Fennell Bay has an each way chance.

5.05 Counsel is worth one last chance to justify his purchase price.

Hamilton

4.00 Hills of Dakota won over course and distance last season and this lightly raced type looks one to follow.

Lingfield

3.20 Caterina looks potentially well handicapped.

4.20 Gallipot and Popular both come here with something to prove following disappointing starts to their 2012 campaigns. I feel that both could yet come good.

Sandown

7.25 Tartiflette has been running well without winning. Should go well especially if they get some rain at Sandown.

Leicester

2.10 Henrietta Rose is well thought of by the trainer who has a good record at this track.

3.15 Amadeus Wolfe Tone and Byronic Hero are a couple of outsiders in fair handicap marks.

4.20 Solar View is a typical runner from his stable who have considerable success in this type of race.

Redcar

3.45 Eland Ally won around this time last year and was a good second at Doncaster a couple of runs ago.

Yarmouth

5.05 Critical Point had an abysmal record last year but the stable do well with 3 year olds and could be an improver.

Carlisle

3.30 Secret City gave us a 25/1 winner at Thirsk last month. He has been raised 6 lbs by the handicapper for that success. It is not inconceivable that he could follow up since he acts on any ground. He has won on a stiff track (Ayr) but easier tracks seem to suit him best. Probably not quite worth a bet at 5/1.

Leicester

4.50 Shada showed promise when 3rd in a Newmarket maiden last season and should give a good account here. The price looks like being pretty skinny though.

Redcar

3.20It might be worth taking a chance on an outsider in this. Saffa Hill and Mizbah may find ground or trip unsuitable so I will go for Third Half who could have found his optimum distance.

3.55 Danadana is in form and comes from a stable that has done well in this race in recent times.
