We had a good win with Mariachi Man the other week. He runs again in the 3.15 at Ascot tomorrow and has an each way chance as long as there is cut in the ground as he does seem to need soft going.
The 3.50 is a tricky spring handicap. Striking Spirit and Leviathan are my two against the field.
There is a small but high class field for the 4.30. Last season’s Derby hero Workforce is the form pick.
Newmarket next where I am hoping that course and distance winner Taqleed can rediscover last season’s form in the 2.15.
Seel Rock may have been a bit unlucky on his last start and if reproducing his early season form he would be hard to beat in the 3.20.
Deny is proving expensive to follow. He wears blinkers for the first time in the 6.30 at Salisbury and is worth one last chance.
At York the progressive Dominant will hopefully live up to his name in the 3.05 while in the 3.40 top weight Hoof It, twice a course winner, should go close.

Another profitable days racing today. Just the one selection tomorrow – the hat trick seeking Oceanway in the 4.30 at Ascot.
Jade is a horse I have been following for a while. She was running on well at the finish when 5th last time out at Newmarket. She will run a decent race at Doncaster tomorrow in the 7.55 but the problem is that she has gone up the weights this season by 4 lbs despite not actually winning. She is probably a little too high in the weights now.
Medaille D’Or has been running with promise and he looks to have a winning opportunity in the 8.40 at Folkestone.
My best bet at Sandown is Junket in the 5.00
Our only selection today won at 3/1 to continue our good run of late.
Just 3 selections tomorrow.
At Ayr in the 5.30 Spinatrix is out again 2 days after his win at Ripon.
I am hoping that Sluggsy Morant can recapture his early season form in the Windsor 7.40.
Lion Court is worth an each way interest in the Yarmouth 4.15.
My only selection tomorrow is Harvey’s Hope. He is a consistent horse and should appreciate the step up in distance to 1.75 miles as he is a half brother to Monolith who won the Pontefract Cup over half a mile further. He runs in the 5.45 at Redcar.
Selections for Saturday:
Newbury 2.20 Deacon Blues
4.05 Distant Memories
4.35 Fury
Newmarket 2.35 Sea of Heartbreak
4.45 Tahaamah and Kirthill split stake
Haydock 8.10 The Caped Crusader
9.10 Korngold
Ripon 3.25 Motivado
At Newbury tomorrow in the 1.55 Iced Missile is a big price for a well bred horse with a sprint pedigree.
Lucy Limelights has an each way chance in the 4.15. Taqleed has not progressed as expected in two runs so far this season. Worth another chance perhaps in the 5.20.
I am going for the long shots tomorrow and Red Eyes fits the bill in the Newmarket 8.30.
One that will start at a short price but I think should win is Whispered in the Nottingham 4.55.
At Pontefract the improving young sprinter Farlow goes for a hat trick in the 9.10 and looks worth an interest.
Selections for Thursday
Hamilton 3.05 Mungo Park
3.40 Hunters Light
Doncaster 8.40 Silvery Moon
Just one selection tomorrow. Chris Wall’s 3 year old Manoori only won by a head at Nottingham in June and has been put up 6 lbs for that narrow win. She has a good attitude though and has only raced 5 times so may well have further improvement in her. She runs in Sandown’s 6.50. Ted Durcan rides and the filly has form figures of 211 with Durcan on board.
