In the Kempton 8.40 Rien ne vas plus is slightly preferred to Fire Fighter while at Sandown in the 4.05 the in form King Torus is the selection.
Purple n’Gold was a non runner today. I will try another unraced 2 year old tomorrow – Fairest in the Yarmouth 2.10.
Doncaster proved a miserable meeting for me with only one winner and that a short priced favourite.
Not much to go at tomorrow. The first race at Brighton does not look the strongest and the unraced Purple n’ Gold could pull off a surprise.
Tomorrow sees the last classic of the season, the St Leger at Doncaster (3.10). Sea Moon was an impressive winner of the Great Voltigeur at York and is a worthy favourite. At the odds though I am inclined to select Census each way. He stays, looks to be on the upgrade, should be placed and if for any reason the favourite under performs he could well be the winner.
In the 2.35 I will put up Secret Witness each way at a big price.
Looking at the 3.45 I am interested in Eton Forever. He won the Spring Mile early in the season and was then 5th in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot off a mark 11 lbs higher. He has had a light campaign and although he has plenty of weight he could go well as long as there is some give in the ground.
At Goodwood Desert Law might be up to winning the listed race at 2.50. He was a comfortable winner at Bath on his last start and seems to be going the right way.
Korngold probably should have won at Ripon last time. He should have conditions in his favour tomorrow and will give us a run for our money in the 4.35.
Jack Smudge has been very expensive to follow this season as he has struggled to get anywhere near his 2010 form. He continues to drop down the weights and might be worth one last chance in the 5.05.
At Bath my best bet is Tonerre in the 2.15.

The Doncaster 1.55 looks a tricky handicap to solve. Precision Break is three from three at Doncaster and has to be considered. Harlestone Times looks over priced at 12/1 while the lightly raced Bourne tries this trip for the first time. Bourne is the tentative suggestion although stamina is unproven.
If we ignore his latest run Dumbarton would be in with a chance in the 4.40.
Sholaan was impressive on his debut when second at Kempton and can go one better at Chester in their 2.00. Midsummer Sun is the selection in the 4.50.

Two selections for tomorrow’s card at Doncaster, both horses that we have been following successfully this season. Mehdi (2.25) and Farlow (4.10).
Today was a profitable one thanks to Hot Spice ata tasty 11/2.
I will try a couple more fairly speculative tips for tomorrow. Captain Kolo showed signs of a return to form at Thirsk last time and could go well in the Carlisle 4.30. Heavy rain is forecast but he does have form on soft ground.
Another horse that was runner up on his previous start is Viking Storm who is my selection in the Kempton 8.20.
