5.40 We can afford a couple of selections in this bumper; Lisnagar Oscar and One Touch.

Philip Hobbs sends a couple of runners up to Hexham.  Both deserve respect, Arthur Mac in the 1.40 and Little Rory Mac in the 5.40. Both are in the same ownership.

Moving on to Chepstow, and staying with the Hobbs theme, Umndeni, a bumper winner last season, is my selection in the 1.55.

Yet another selection from the Hobbs yard is Lord Duveen in  the 2.30. In the 3.05 I just prefer Midnightreferendum to Posh Trish.  In the 3.35 my selection is the unbeaten Master Tommy Tucker.

In the 4.45 Theclockisticking is marginally preferred to Captain Cattistock.

Step Back and Thomas Patrick are the two I fancy in the 5.20.  I always like course form at Chepstow and this persuades me to choose Thomas Patrick.  If he were to be a non runner the selection would revert to Step Back.

Newton Abbot 1.40 With the Hobbs team in good form Crooks Peak is preferred to Colonel Custard and Rouge Vif

2.15 This is a competitive contest but I am hopeful that Benatar will come out of top.

5.10 Ninth Wave.

I am quite hopeful about the chances of Kalahari Queen in the 1.25 at Worcester. She was second in a Group 2 handicap at Newbury and looks the sort to take to chasing.

Worcester 1.55.  Nightfly could be the answer here. Trip and ground should suit.

Dandy Dan goes well fresh and the stable are in good form. He runs at Bangor in the 2.50.

Cousin Oscar looks well handicapped in the 4.25.
