Exeter

2.40 Tricky one this. I am inclined to go for the French bumper winner Alcala who looks like a horse with potential improvement. He is the selection with the Philip Hobbs trained Hello George likely to be the main danger.

3.10 Puffin Billy returns to the racecourse after he nearly died from colic. He is an interesting recruit to the novice chasing ranks.

Cheltenham

2.00 Five times points winner Bally Beaufort is a solid stayer, seems to handle any ground and represents a stable that does well at this time of year.

2.35 Ackertac does well at this track and looks on a reasonable mark.

5.30 How About It is a point to point winner in Ireland and is well regarded by connections.

Carlisle

2.40 The ex Sir Michael Stoute runner Vital Evidence looks the type to do well over hurdles and is a threat but my selection is Voyage A New York, a course winner that should be suited by this stiff track.

4.20 Point to point winner Simply the West looks a potentially useful recruit.

4.50 Final Assault is narrowly preferred to Classic Move.

5.20 Deadly Move probably has the most potential of these.

Newton Abbot

2.20 Arenice Et Pictons has decent from in France and looks open to improvement.
