3.50 My 2 against the field for the Victoria Cup are Mabait and Well Painted. The former hasn’t won for getting on for 2 years but as a result is well handicapped on his best form. The ground will suit although he does not have a favourable draw. Well Painted is lightly raced and looks to have further improvement in him. The stable are going well and he has a decent draw. He is yet to run on fast ground.
Haydock
2.25 Hanseatic was beaten a neck at Windsor on only his second career start. He will have learned from that run and can go one better here.
4.05 Pintura is probably best at this trip and has a sporting chance. The ground could be a negative though.

1.45 Mijhaar should be suited by both trip and ground while Sir John Hawkwood looks the type of horse to improve with time and has won on fast ground.
2.45 The Irish raider may well take this but both Havana Beat and Gabrial’s Kaka are worth considering. Havana Beat is preferred. The form of his Sandown win last season has worked out well and he showed promise when 4th on his seasonal reappearance.
4.25 You da One is well drawn and should go well.

3.50 I fancy What a Name to just get the better of Hot Snap here with the outsider Diaminda claiming third place.
5.00 Vanity Rules made a favourable impression when runner up here on her second run last season.
5.35 Recent course and distance winner Soviet Rock can land this.
Doncaster
6.10 Emerald Sea is an interesting runner here. He showed enough in a couple of stats last season to suggest there is more to come. He might be worth a small each way investment here but he looks the type to do well in handicaps later in the season.
6.45 The progressive Enrol can win this for his in form stable.
Goodwood
3.30 Duke of Firenze is potentially well treated and will eb suited by the drying ground.
Newmarket
2.05 The lightly raced Danchai looks one to follow.
2.35 Heeraat and Pearl Secret should go well here. Heeraat has the benefit of a recent run which may just give him the edge.
3.50 Not very original but Dawn Approach looks the one to beat.
4.25 Agerzam is one to considerbased on his two starts at Kempton, as is the unbeaten Secretinthepark. For my selection though I am going to opt for the Doncaster maiden winner Robot Boy who looks a fair prospect.
5.35 This could be between Red Avenger and Country Western. The former is a course and distance winner but needs to comeback from a poor run last time out and the selection is Country Western who may still be improving.
