3.25 Ladys First comes here in good from having won a listed race at Haydock.

4.00 Mijhaar has a good chance based on the run before last when 3^rd at Ascot. Fulgur is well handicapped if producing his best while Labarinto is another to consider at a decent price.

5.05 Juvenal and Scrupul are the two I like in this.

Bath

5.10 Fanrouge is something of a course specialist here having won 4 times at the track.

7.10 Nossbrae looks interesting on his handicap bow.

Beverley

3.15 Watheeq has gone up 4 lbs for a win at Lingfield but his rider can claim back 3 of those.

4.15 Ponty Acclaim has an each way chance.

Chester

2.30 Rosslyn Castle has done well for me and is a course winner.

 

Salisbury

7.40 Burnham

Thirsk

2.40 Solar View stands a god chance of following up his Catterick success. The stable companions Gordonsville and Jonny Delta are interesting at bigger prices.

4.55 Dakota Canyon

 

Kempton

7.50 I have a good record at Kempton and I am hoping that Openly, a lightly raced type from James Fanshawe’s stable will keep up that record.

 

Catterick

Sir Mark Prescott saddles Solar View in the 3.10. Solar View was beaten at Pontefract last time but this race looks winnable although the price will be short. A more sporting bet might be Indego Blues in the 4.10. He is a course and distance winner and should like the ground.

Carlisle

Ukrainian is a consistent sort and has an each way chance in the 3.30.

 

Epsom

4.30 Seven Veils has an each way chance back at 12 furlongs.

Ripon

5.15 Petella is a course and distance winner and has won races at this time of year before.

Southwell

7.50 Kung Hei Fat Choy is 2 from at this track and can go in again.

 

Warwick 6.10 Mazeydd

 

Goodwood

3.20 Aljamaaheer may have been an lucky loser over course and distance earlier this month.

5.05 Swan Song is lightly raced and has done little wrong on her 3 starts. Bred to be a decent sprinter.

Newmarket

2.50 Caravan Rolls On won 4 times last season but has been off the track for 330 days. He has gone well fresh before and is an interesting runner.

3.25 Desert Law comes here in good form having won a handicap at Ascot.

4.35 Lucky Henry is quite well handicapped on the pick of his form and has an each way chance.

Windsor

6.45 Lay Time takes a bit of a drop in class here and looks a fair price.

York

2.30 This is a very competitive renewal of this race. Gospel Choir will be a popular choice. He completed the hat trick at Haydock beating 4 horses who had won their previous start. He has a good attitude and looks sure to go well. Sir Graham Wade was denied a 4 timer when 3^rd to Gospel Choir at Haydock. The extra 2 furlongs here should hold no fears for him.

Beyond Conceit is yet to finish out of the first three but his only win came on heavy ground. Gabrial’s Star will not lack for stamina as he was runner up last time out at Ripon over 2 miles. He finished 11 lengths clear of the third that day and is open to further improvement. Future Security has only had 3 runs winning the last two. He is yet to race beyond 10 furlongs but has plenty of scope. He probably wouldn’t want the ground too firm. Daneking is very consistent and cannot be ruled out.

If pushed for a selection I would just favour Sir Graham Wade.

3.05 Saddler’s Rock looks the one to beat but at 6/4 I am not sure he is value. Times Up and High Jinx could run well at big prices.

5.20 Pea Shooter is worth another chance.

2.00 Kirthill has been down the field since winning off a mark of 94 last October but there may have been excuses for his recent defeats and it is too early to write him off just yet. Expert Fighter has gone up 9lbs for a win over this distance at Newmarket but he is lightly raced and may have scope for further improvement. He acts on the ground. Fennell Bay won a big handicap at Ascot earlier in the year but may now be a little high in the weights. Silver Lime a winner at Goodwood last time out is unexposed and is one for the short list. With 2 wins from 5 starts Willie Wagtail is worth considering in what is a tricky contest and would be my selection.

3.40 Bated Breath is the form pick. The unbeaten Pearl Secret could be ideally suited by this race and is a potential danger.

4.15 Wentworth made a favourable impression on his debut at Goodwood.

4.15 Western Prize is unexposed at this distance and looks a worthy favourite.
