Horses running from our “dark horses” list

Hereford  1.10 –  Uncle Bul & Northern Quest

Hereford 3.40 – Rathmulen

Russellform Ramblings

Oncle Bul was 3rd at Wincanton over hurdles on his last appearance and now tackle fences for the first time in the 1.10 at Hereford.  He comes from a yard that is chase orientated and could go well at a price.

Rathmulen is from the family of Shotgun Willy who won the Red Square Vodka Gold Cup and the AON Chase.  Rathmulen won a maiden point to point at Fermanagh and the booking of AP MCCoy seems to indicate that this one is well thought of by connections.  He runs in the closing bumper.

It was generally a good day for our horses to follow with wins for Helen’s Vision, Inglis Drever, Tazbar and Shrewd Investor with Sir Bathwick winning at 14/1 for the “dark horses.”  That was followed up with wins for One Gulp, Big Bucks and The Tother One on Sunday.
